Secondly, you matter. How you feel matters. What you think matters. You as a person matter because you are the only you there is and our world needs you in it. Please, again, please do not listen to anyone who says anything else. You absolutely matter and this is 100% true.
Thirdly, as I just mentioned, our world needs you in it. You are unique and you bring something special to our world - and especially to the lives of all the people who are blessed to know you. We absolutely need you in this world. You really do make our world a better place - I can not - and do not want to imagine a world without you in it. You are needed so very much.
Finally, I know just because I say you deserve to be loved, you are loved, you matter, and our world needs you in it, I know you may not feel like these things are true. Please believe me. All these things are true. If you are feeling like any or all of these things may not be true for you, please, please spend time with people who know these things are true about you. Please do not isolate yourself. Please spend time with people because as you do, you will discover the truth in all these things I've said today. How do you spend time with people? Well, consider these possibilities -
- If you have family and friends who love and support you, then visit them, or just spend time with them. Play a game together. Talk together. Listen to music together. Watch a movie together. Go for a walk or bike ride in nature together. Cook or bake together. Enjoy a meal together. Do something together. The important word here is, "together". Don't isolate. Spend time with people who love you so you are able to experience their love and support for you.
- Join a group - could be a church group, support group, a club, art or music group - any group where you are able to get together with people who are interested in the things you are interested in.
- Volunteer to get involved in something you care about. Giving to others is a fantastic way to help you connect with people and to experience being a part of something bigger than you.
