March 14, 2025 - "You are You. Now, isn't That Pleasant?!"

The Dr. Seuss Quote for today is, "You are you. Now, isn't that pleasant?!" Yes, it is pleasant you are "you", and it is absolutely pleasant, more than pleasant for you to be "you"! You are enough, just as you are. You are valuable, just as you are. You are loved, just as you are. You are worth so much, just as you are. You matter, just as you are. You are a very needed part of our world, your community, and your family just as you are. You are you!

So, today I want to take time to remind you of the truth of how you matter, just as you are! In all of time, in all of our world, there has only been, is, and will only be one you. There has never been, and will never be, another person just like you. You are unique and this is a very wonderful thing! You and your "uniqueness" add so much to our world - we absolutely need you in this world!

You deserve to be treated with respect and in a kind way - please do not ever let anyone tell you any differently. Sadly, there are people in our world who do not treat others with respect or in kind ways, but you absolutely deserve respect and kindness. Please surround yourself with people who show you respect and who are kind, people who stand up for and with you, people who love you. And, be certain you are one of these people for others - be sure to treat people in respectful and kind ways as well, because just as you need these things from others, they need them from you.

Our world would be such a better place if everyone treated all others with respect and kindness, but, we are able to do our part to make our world more of a place we want it to be. Take time today to refresh your soul by spending time in nature, around art, listening to or making music, and do something to lighten the load of someone else - all these things will help make our day today better for others and for ourselves - and you absolutely deserve to have a better today!
